BE PART OF BUSHLOOP on October 11-13! Local projects Bushtekniq and Loop Growers will host a full weekend of earthy energy, good food, drinks and epic entertainment, with Creek Care at the heart of it all. Come camp creekside at the The Crossing - the home of Loop - in the beautiful Samford Valley.
FRIDAY 11th
(from) 3pm: ARRIVAL, set up camp, settle in
6pm: WELCOME CEREMONY, run-through of BushLoop & POT LUCK DINNER - please bring a plate to share!
Evening: inspiring short FILMS & FIRE-side yarns: facilitated decolonisation action discussion
SATURDAY 12th
Early: Stretch-Qigong-Yoga fusion, brekky, coffee by BAM
Loop Growers Land/ Farm guided tour: practice & vision
Bushtekniq CREEK CARE: connection & action
Mid: Lunch, swims & arvo siestas/ late arv harvest..
Evening: Dinner and DANCING, LIVE MUSIC & DJs - bring ya fancy pants, rockin' frocks & dancing shoes!
SUNDAY 13th
Early: Stretch-Qigong-Yoga fusion, brekky, coffee by BAM
Continue with CREEK CARE: connection & action
Mid: lunch, chalk-board SKILL-SHARE, WEAVING & swims
.. wrap-up mid-arvo with a SEE YA ceremony!
CAN'T COMMIT TO A FULL WEEKEND CAMP-OUT? No worries, you're welcome to make a day-trip (or two) of it, just be aware that cost of ticket remains the same.
Ticket-pricing for young 'uns: please use parental discretion - you know how much your young 'uns can eat.. we appreciate your honesty (also reminder of appropriate parental supervision for all U18s).
COST OF TICKETS covers SIMPLE, DELICIOUS VEGETARIAN meals for the weekend, with any profits going to ORIGINAL POWER (a small community-focused organisation that aims to build the power of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through collective action).
